Vacation Bible School

Children and Youth

At Parkway Christian Church, we are ready and excited to help your child or teen grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. We offer a wide variety of ministries designed to reach your child on their level.

   Journey Kids

Our Sunday morning program for children from 6 years old through 5th grade, and it                                           takes place during our worship service.  After hearing a children's message in worship,                                       children are excused to our Children's Worship Center for age-appropriate lessons. We are                                 currently using a creative curriculum.  In this curriculum, kids enjoy different stations like drama,                            games, cooking, science and other fun stations to learn the bible lesson of each month. Come                            join us for the fun!

  The Park

Plant yourself at "The Park" and grow in faith

The Park is a special time of worship and study for middle and high school-aged youth. Following the Children’s Moment during the 10:00 service, youth gather in the School for a fun and interactive service.

The Park Middle and High School Youth Group

Our youth group (6th grade-12th graders) meets every other Friday 6-8 pm. When we gather, we don’t expect anyone to be perfect or to have all the answers. Instead, we expect and hope for engaging dialogue, open minds, and support and respect for one another. We also throw in other awesome experiences like lock-ins, mission trips, and youth-led worship services, all of this is done in our newly renovated Youth Room.

Acolyte Ministry

Our younger students, ages 7-12, are eligible to serve as Acolytes. An Acolyte has the job during a Parkway worship service: of bringing the Word forward and reading our first bible lesson for the morning.

Pastor’s Class

We offer Pastor’s Class to 4th and 5th grade students in preparation for Baptism.  This is a special class, when students are encouraged and led through the thought and belief process of baptism. It includes learning about the meaning of baptism, the meaning of the Lord’s Supper, and the meaning and role of God and Jesus Christ in their lives.

We also have various large events for children, including an Easter Egg Hunt, a Fall Family Fun Day, Vacation Bible School, and many other fun and meaningful activities.
